2014-2015 President

Tonia Ison

Department President Tonia Ison gained her eligibility for membership in the American Legion Auxiliary through the US Navy service of her husband Jack.  Married for 42 years, Tonia and Jack have two children, Terry (a member of the Texas Army National Guard) and Christine and three grandchildren Melvin, Isaac and Amira.  A member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 22 years, Tonia is very involved in her local unit, Topeka Unit #400, and is currently serving as Secretary.  In addition to this role, she has held many officer positions and chairmanships in the unit, district and department levels.  Tonia is committed to the mission of the ALA and believes in the work accomplished in support of our veterans, active duty military and their families.  Her greatest pride and joy are her three grandchildren whom she adores.  Husband Jack's 22 years in the Navy allow her personal insight in to the challenges that face military families.  She remains extremely proud of Jack's service and is committed to give back to those in service to our country through the work of the ALA.
